TRIMEDIA – Trustworthy Reporting, Impactful Media, Engaged Communities
Implementation period: February 2024 – January 2026
Funded by: European Union
Project goal: To contribute to a resilient democratic society in the Republic of Moldova with a safe information ecosystem.
Specific Objective: To increase the capacities of media actors to produce, and of media consumers to access trustworthy quality reporting.
1. Establishing and developing CCC in Causeni and Soroca (training session, networking events, production and promotion of thematic informational packages)
2. Financial Support to Third Parties (Media outlets)
3. Carrying out a series of activities on the topic of Journalists’ safety (3D Media Safety Program, inhouse trainings, countrywide helpline for psychological support for journalists, newsletters covering the topics related to physical and digital security as well as mental health)

13 October 2025Twenty members of the Crisis Communication Cells (CCC) from Ungheni, Causeni, and Soroca strengthened their crisis communication skills during an experience-sharing event, on October 9–10. The activity was carried out under the TRIMEDIA – Trustworthy Reporting, Impactful Media, Engaged Communities Project.

07 November 2025Five local non-governmental media organizations and local media outlets Albasat TV (Nisporeni), AO Piligrim-Demo/Nokta.md (Comrat), AO Informedia/Studio-L (Causeni), AO Vocea Nordului/Nordinfo.md (Balti), and BAS TV (Basarabeasca) received support for implementing information projects on social cohesion and the promotion of human and minority rights between March and August 2025.

04 February 2026Două Celule de Comunicare de Criză la Căușeni și Soroca, subgranturi pentru instituțiile mass-media locale la tema coeziunii sociale și program de suport psihologic pentru jurnaliști – acestea sunt doar câteva din activitățile proiectului „TRIMEDIA – Jurnalism de încredere, media de impact, comunități implicate”. Programul a fost implementat în perioada februarie 2024 – ianuarie 2026 de DW Akademie (Germania) în parteneriat cu Asociația Presei Independente (API), cu susținerea financiară a Uniunii Europene și cofinanțat de Ministerul Federal German pentru Cooperare Economică și Dezvoltare (BMZ).

03 June 2024Eleven representatives of the media, local authorities and civil society in Căușeni have formed a Crisis Communication Cell (CCC) at local level. They participated in the first three training sessions on May 27, 29 and 31, 2024 and got acquainted with the field of communication and crisis management in a community.
