This is an information notice that is intended for you because you are a visitor to our website, in order to provide you with information, in a concise and accessible form, about the processing of your personal data when you access www.api.md or use certain tools on it, and when you interact with us on social pages. Because we value the protection of personal data, we have detailed internal rules on how to process it securely in different circumstances. For example, if you attend one of our events and it is necessary for us to collect certain data about you, you will be informed about the processing on this occasion. If you have any questions about our processing of your personal data, you can write to us using the contact details below.

The purpose for which we process your personal data is non-commercial, namely to achieve our statutory purpose and objectives, which you can read more about here. The legal basis for the processing is therefore our legitimate interest to carry out and promote our work as a non-governmental organisation, including through a functioning website, and interaction with the public. In the case of interaction on social media, your consent is the legal basis for the data processing.

The processing of personal data through www.api.md and on API's social media pages is done by the Independent Press Association (API). API is committed to respecting your rights as protected by national data protection legislation. If you have any questions on this subject, you can contact us in writing at mun. Chisinau, str. What data do we collect?

Directly through the site we collect data on IP, article viewed, viewing time, data that are intended only for us and that we keep for 12 months. Analysis of this data is done through Google Analytics, which has its own data processing policy that we advise you to read.

Our website uses cookies and if you want to find out more general information about them, you can find them at https://www.allaboutcookies.org/.

Out of respect for you, the initial setting is to only allow cookies necessary for the operation of the site.

If you subscribe to our social pages (FacebookInstagramYoutube), we collect data on your interaction with us (comments, likes, messages) with your consent, which you can withdraw. The data we collect is only intended for us. Social media platforms also collect personal data and have their own privacy policies, which we advise you to read.

If you choose to support us by making a donation using the form on the website, API and the bank handling the donations are the ones collecting your personal data (name, address, city, country, email, phone, bank account, etc.), according to their own policies which you can consult. API will only carry out its own processing of the data collected for financial-accounting reporting purposes, under the legal basis of legal obligations, where these exist. In these cases, the data retention period is the duration of the Association's operation and the recipients are us and any authorities to which there may be reporting obligations.

We do not intend to transfer your personal data to third countries or international organisations, nor do we subject your data to any automated process including profiling. If in the course of our business it becomes necessary to process your data for purposes other than those mentioned above, we will inform you in advance.
