STRENGTHENING JOURNALISTIC ETHICS AND PROMOTING AN ANTI-DISCRIMINATION CAMPAIGN IN THE MEDIA

Project purpose:
To strengthen and ensure practical implementation of knowledge in the field of journalistic ethics for balanced and objective public information, promotion of human rights, protection of victims and children, promotion of tolerance and non-discrimination of minority groups and people in need.
To increase the knowledge of journalistic ethics of API member editors;
Developing API's internal self-regulatory structures;
Promoting tolerance towards marginalised minority groups.
Organisation and conduct of four regional trainings on compliance with the Code of Ethics for Journalists;
Conducting the competition and hiring the API Ombudsman, ensuring the work of the API Ethics Committee;
Summary monitoring of API member publications on compliance with journalistic ethics;
Conducting a mini-campaign against discrimination through the monthly publication of the thematic page Activ;
Drafting and examining API Ombudsman reports on compliance with ethical rules by API member journalists and newsrooms.
