MISSION:
API is a national resource center that contributes to increasing the sustainability of independent media through professional and financial capacity building, improving public policy, digitization and enhancing the quality of the journalistic product.

OBJECTIVES/PRIORITIES:
- Leadership in lobbying and advocacy with the aim of ensuring a climate conducive to media development;
- Strengthening the capabilities of API members to ensure the sustainability of independent media;
- Promoting ethics and professional deontology to restore the media to its social role;
- Promoting the associative image of API and ensuring the sustainability of the association.
AFFILIATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS:
API is a member of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN/IFRA);
API is a member of the National Platform of the Eastern Partnership NGO Forum;
API is a member of the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections in the Republic of Moldova;
API is a member of the Civic Initiative for a Clean Parliament of the Republic of Moldova;
API is one of the founders of the Press Council of the Republic of Moldova and provides the Secretariat of this national journalistic self-regulatory structure;
API is a partner of the Independent Journalism Centre of Romania;
API develops partnerships with the most active non-governmental media organizations in Moldova, collaborates with other national and regional associative structures.
API is a resource organisation for European and international structures on issues concerning freedom of the press and the media situation in the Republic of Moldova;
API collaborates with NGOs from Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Estonia, Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, the UK and other countries;
API is open for new partnerships.
On its 25th anniversary, API presented a new logo to the public. It is a combination of bright colours and symbols representative of the journalism community. The new logo combines blue in warmer and cooler shades to show the radio waves on the map of the Republic of Moldova and a ‘hot’ red colour that highlights the dot on the ‘i’.
