Project goal:

Strengthening anti-corruption practices, contribution to the efficiency of National Integrity Authority (ANI) activity and enhancing the impact of journalistic investigations in fighting corruption, improving knowledge and capabilities of citizens, NGOs and local media in terms of access to information and transparency in decision-making.

Project objectives:

Objective 1. Contributing to the efficiency and accountability of anti-corruption institutions, particularly of ANI, by journalistic monitoring of legislation implementation, reporting cases of violation of assets and interests declaration, public debate on ANI reform stages.

Objective 2. Enhancing the impact of journalistic investigations in fighting corruption by developing a thematic research, public debate on results and recommendations for decision makers and journalistic community.

Objective 3. Strengthening knowledge and skills of citizens, NGOs and local media in terms of access to information and stimulating involvement in monitoring activities of transparency in decision-making through the public-awareness and assistance campaign "Keep an eye on authorities!”

Activities:

Activity 1. Writing and publishing articles on implementation of the anti-corruption law package and ANI reform, investigations on conflicts of interest and non-compliance with income and asset declaration.

Activity 1.2. Monitoring ANI activity, notifying and urging ANI to take firm decisions and apply sanctions.

Activity 2.1 Elaboration and public presentation of a study on the impact of journalistic investigations on combating corruption.

Activity 2.2. Promoting and ensuring interactivity of the portal www.MoldovaCurata.md

Activity 3.1. Editing the promotional materials of the campaign "Keep an eye on authorities!”

Activity 3.2. Organizing and conducting thematic information and training meetings on access to information and transparency in decision-making in 10 localities in the country.

Activity 3.3. Providing legal assistance in terms of access to information of public interest.
