Goal of the project: Enhancing the professionalism level of local print press journalists for observing ethical norms.
Objectives: 1. Encouraging local press journalists to observe ethical norms;
2. Training local print press journalists on the observance of deontology norms and provisions of „API’s Guidelines on Style containing ethical norms”;
3. Revising and re-publishing „API’s Guidelines on Style containing ethical norms”;
4. Elaborating a research on the observance of ethical journalism in Republic of Moldova and API’s work plan for the period 2012-2013 in the view of improving the existent situation at the chapter related to the infringement of ethical norms by local print press journalists.
Activities: - Monitoring 15 local newspapers, including from Transnistrian region and TAU Gagauz-Yeri, in the view of observing the presumption of innocence, human rights and ways of placing hidden publicity;
- Training local press journalists and editors on producing controversial subjects (the presumption of innocence, human rights, placing hidden publicity);
- Revising and re-publishing „API’s Guidelines on Style containing ethical norms”;
- Elaborating a research on the observance of ethical journalism in local print press and API’s work plan for the period 2012-2013 in the view of improving the quality of the editorial content in local newspapers and observance of journalist’s deontology norms.
